Philip Herzberg loves making a positive impact on the lives of individuals, families, business owners, executives, and those undergoing life transitions: “I cherish the opportunity to cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients while counseling them through all of their different life chapters.” As a Certified Financial Planner® professional, Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor, and Accredited Estate Planner® designee, Phil uses his expertise to help clients implement tax-efficient investment, retirement, and estate planning strategies. Previously he served as a Relationship Manager at United Capital and Client Services Manager at Ladenburg Thalmann. A regular Journal of Financial Planning columnist, Phil has authored or contributed to over 55 peer-reviewed estate, tax, and financial planning articles. He has been cited as an authority in regional and national media publications, including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNBC, AARP, Kiplinger, Retirement Daily, Morningstar, Marketwatch, Barron’s, InvestmentNews, Financial Advisor Magazine, Miami Herald, and South Florida Sun-Sentinel. He is also a featured speaker for local and national professional organization audiences, such as the Estate Planning Council, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), Financial Planning Association (FPA), United Way and the Jewish Community Foundation’s Professional Advisory Council (PAC). Phil served as the 2018-19 President of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami and is a Past President of the FPA of Florida and the FPA of Miami. He also delights in giving back to his South Florida community. The recipient of the Joan & Douglas Gross Community Service Award for his stewardship as Young Leadership Division (YLD) Mitzvah Co-Chair at the Jewish Federation of Broward County, Phil volunteers his time and talents to philanthropic organizations that run the gamut from Jewish Federation to Junior Achievement. He graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech with departmental honors and earned a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University with a graduate certificate in Investments. An almost native Miamian and avid sports enthusiast, Phil is a faithful Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat fan. He and his wife, Heather, enjoy museums, theater, and the fine food at their favorite South Florida restaurants.
