Additional Information: Hi, I’m Phil Herzberg, and I help widows and families find clarity and confidence around their finances, especially during life’s most overwhelming transitions. After the loss of a spouse, financial decisions often come quickly, at a time when everything already feels heavy. My role is to slow things down. I listen first, explain clearly, and provide steady, patient guidance so no one feels rushed, pressured, or alone. Together, we take things one step at a time, building understanding, confidence, and a sense of control moving forward. A calm plan and a caring team can prevent costly mistakes. I also work with couples who want to get organized before a crisis occurs. Many have seen the stress and regret that can come from waiting too long. I help bring structure to their financial lives by coordinating accounts, beneficiaries, and advisors. I ensure nothing important is left unaddressed with a financial roadmap that evolves as life changes. I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional with nearly two decades of professional knowledge and serve as a Lead Advisor here at Team Hewins, a fee-only, fiduciary wealth management firm. I also hold the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor, and Accredited Estate Planner® designations. I regularly speak and write on estate, tax, and financial planning topics for professional organizations nationwide. Giving back to my community matters deeply to me, and I’ve served in leadership roles with professional associations and nonprofit boards focused on collaboration, philanthropy, and family support. I live in South Florida with my wife Heather and our daughter Mira. Outside of work, I enjoy museums, theater, great food, and cheering on the Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat.
