And even when the famous and infamous are not involved, a trust and estate lawyer often travels on terrain littered with ethical landmines. Avoiding landmines requires posing the appropriate queries. When should a lawyer question a client’s testamentary capacity? Which conflicts among clients are not consentable? What are the exceptions to the rule that requires a lawyer to maintain client confidentiality? This CLE presentation will explore the answers to these questions and identify other legal ethics challenges that may confront lawyers in the practice of trust and estate law.\n \n \n \nCocktails and Dinner- 6:30 – 8:15 p.m.\n \n"The First Thing We Do, Let's Hack All the Lawyers (and Accountants)!\n \n\n \nPresented by:  Luis Salazar, Esq., Salazar Law\n \nHackers are increasingly targeting lawyers and other professionals. For political, financial, or criminal motives, hackers are exploiting security flaws and careless or untrained personnel to gain access to client’s most confidential secrets. This course will provide attendees with an informative overview of hackers and their motivations, as a means of raising awareness of the threat. The course will also review common areas of security weaknesses and potential lapses that hackers can exploit to gain access to confidential systems and information.\n \nAfter establishing the broad parameters of the threats lawyers and other professionals face, the course will review the ethical requirements compelling these professionals to be informed and prepared against these threats. \n \nFinally, the attendees will be provided with actionable, concrete tips that they can implement immediately to improve their security posture.\n \nDinner Meeting Generously Sponsored By:\n \n[](https://www.grovebankandtrust.com/)\n \nThe workshop session has applied for 2 hours of continuing education credit and the dinner presentation has been applied for 1 hour of continuing education credit for the following disciplines:\n \nCLE ETHICS (Legal), CFP (Certified Financial Planners) and CPE(Accountancy)\n \nPlease send your RSVP so that we may guarantee dinner accommodations for you and your guests.
