Lester B. Law is a managing director and wealth strategist with the National Wealth Strategies Group at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. In this role, Lester keeps abreast of changes in the law and planning strategies that may affect U.S. Trust® clients, and assists in the preparation of materials on various estate and tax planning ideas that are used by our associates and their clients including all aspects of estate planning. Lester has also been instrumental in assisting in the preparation of proprietary software for the Roth conversion opportunity. Prior to joining U.S. Trust, Lester was as an estate planning attorney in private practice. Prior to attending law school, Lester was a certified public accountant with Price Waterhouse. 

Lester is a Committee Co-Chair for American Bar Association’s Real Property Trust and Estate Section’s Estate and Gift Tax Group’s Income and Transfer Tax Committee (ABA-RPTE). Lester is also a committee member on other standing committees of the ABA-RPTE. Lester is on the Executive Committee of the Florida Bar’s Real Property Probate and Trust Law section (RPPTL); he is a member of three committees and is co-chair of the IRA & Employee Benefits Committee. Lester has been active in the Tax Section of the Florida Bar, too, having been editor of the Tax Notes for the Florida Bar Journal for a number of years, and having participated on a few ad hoc committees for the Florida Bar’s Tax Section. Lester has published articles in the Florida Bar Journal, Trusts & Estates, Tax Notes, BNA – Bloomberg, and other publications. Lester has presented estate and tax planning ideas to numerous Estate Planning Councils, local, state and national state bar associations, as well as other tax and fiduciary conferences around the country. Lester has been quoted in Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger, BNA-Bloomberg and Reuters. Lester is also a lecturer for the Florida Trust School (2010 – 12). Lester has chaired a few continuing legal education meetings for the Florida Bar’s RPPTL, co-chairing two Continuing Education Meetings in 2012.
 
Lester is a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Naples, past president of the Cancer Alliance of Naples, Inc, and past co-chair and director for the Education Foundation of Collier County. Lester has been named a Florida Super Lawyer for a number of years.
 
Lester graduated from Florida International University with his Bachelors of Business Administration in accounting with honors; he received his Masters of Science of Taxation from the University of Miami; he received his Juris Doctor from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and he obtained his Masters of Laws in Taxation from The University of Florida, graduating at the top of his class and receiving the Richard B. Stephen’s Award.

Marshall Jones is a co-founder of Jones Lowry, an independent life insurance planning firm, and a Principal of M Financial, a privately-owned life insurance producer group. As a life insurance producer, he is a perennial Top of the Table member.

As a life insurance professional, he has more than 30 years of experience working with advisors and their high net worth estate planning clients. Known for his ability to translate complex estate planning and financial issues into understandable terms, he has presented at numerous professional organizations, including national meetings of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and the Society of Financial Services Professionals (SFSP). He is the author of the book, Making Decisions about Life Insurance, and has written many articles on life insurance planning.

Mr. Jones graduated with honors from Harvard College and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron Law School where he was a Senior Writer for the Law Review. He is a non-practicing member of the Florida Bar and holds the professional designations of Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).
